Eggs’n Things in Harajuku has been famous for years for its queues of people lining up to get their fill of pancakes and egg-based savouries.
Located down a side street from Omotesando, the restaurant’s décor reflects its Hawaiian origins. Think relaxed furnishings with surfboards and other tropical accents.
Despite having two indoor floors and an outdoor terrace, at busy times the restaurant is not sizeable enough to match the crowds wanting to get in.
If it’s your first time, the pancakes are the thing to try. They’re served with fruit, piled high with cream and there’s a selection of sauces to accompany them. Guava and coconut sauce is the Eggs’n Things speciality.
If you’re feeling like something more savoury, there’s plenty of other options available including omelettes, eggs benedict and breakfast plates with sausages or spam.
Due to its popularity, its best to avoid visiting Eggs’n Things on the weekend. Unless of course lining up for a long time with the locals is something that you want to experience!
