Alfresco wooden tables and benches against a wall of greenery and a wooden building at log road in daikanyama

Log Road

Posted on

Log Road in the trendy Daikanyama district is an interesting redevelopment of a narrow 220 metre strip of land where railway tracks used to run. It’s now a ‘shopping street’ featuring a collection of elegant, low-slung cottage-style buildings along a beautifully landscaped path.

While the flagship Fred Segal store which the development launched with has since closed, it’s still a great destination for a drink or a bite. Visit for Spring Valley Brewery Tokyo, a craft beer hall that brews its own range of beers onsite and organic café Garden House Crafts, which is great for coffee, brunch and lunch.

Log Road also holds regular seasonal activities, including Summer and Christmas illuminations, which see length of the pathway decorated with beautiful lights.

Address: 13 Daikanyama, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo

Getting there: 5-minute walk from Daikanyama Station(Tokyu Toyoko Line)

Nearby: Hachiko Statue, Shibuya Crossing
