Shibuya Scramble Square, which opened in 2019, is a monolithic skyscraper adjoining Shibuya Station. It houses the Shibuya Sky observation deck on its rooftop, plus over 200 stores and restaurants across its lower 14 levels.
The ground floor features a large ‘market style’ space offering a wide array of cakes, bakery goods and souvenirs to take home.
Heading upwards takes you through multiple levels of inventively-designed shopping spaces, with levels two through eleven focused on fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands. There’s everything from international luxury labels, to to local mid-range and high-end brands on offer.
The twelfth and thirteenth floors offer up a wide selection of Japanese and international restaurants and food outlets which are great for lunch or dinner if you’re in the area.
Whether you’re heading upstairs to Shibuya Sky or not, Shibuya Scramble Square is worth visiting for a browse, a shop or a meal – or to just take in the sheer scale of the massive development.
