Nightime view across intersection with cross walks to large glass department store with coloured lights at Tokyu Plaza Ginza

Tokyu Plaza Ginza

Posted on

Tokyu Plaza Ginza is one of the Ginza shopping district’s newest malls. It’s an excellent destination for both shopping and dining, housing over 125 stores in all.

Aside from the shopping on offer, including Tokyo’s largest duty-free store, Tokyu Plaza Ginza offers some unique spaces to explore.

The cavernous Kiriko Lounge on the 6thfloor, featuring high floor to ceiling windows, is a great place to relax and take in the view. It’s a public space with couches, tables and chairs you can settle into while looking out over the district. If you have a sweet tooth, you can try the desserts in the upscale Sukiyabashi Sabo cafe which takes up part of the atrium space.

The jewel in the crown at Tokyu Plaza Ginza is its rooftop area, called the Kiriko Terrace. It features expansive green walls, an ornamental pool and free seating. Best of all are the views out over Ginza, which are particularly special at night.
