The Flying Tiger Copenhagen store, nestled in behind Omotesando Hills, provides one of the most unique and fun shopping experiences in the area. Hailing from Copenhagen, the store is packed full of colourful and humorous takes on everyday items, most at reasonable prices. It’s a great place to grab a few fun things to take home.
The store works like an IKEA, with shoppers routed through a defined path through the entire store toward the checkouts. Along the way you’ll see hundreds of products, everything from stationary to toys to kitchenware to electronics, all rendered in funny new versions of themselves. Need a pencil sharpener in the shape of a ketchup tube? How about a plush cushion in the shape of a moustache? Some earbuds with love hearts on them? A memo pad that looks like a block of chocolate? You’ll find it all here.
The products range from the entirely practical to the completely novelty, which makes for an enjoyable journey through the store. Make sure you keep walking forward though – this is Japan after all. You don’t want to be doubling back and going against the tide!
