A trip to Tokyo isn’t complete without a meal dining with the locals at Japanese restaurant chain Ootoya. Famed for its signature black vinegar fried chicken and vegetables dish, Ootoya serves up a wide variety of reasonably priced Japanese set meals that include main, tea, pickles, rice and miso soup.
You can order in English via iPad and staff are on hand to assist if you have any difficulty. The Nishishinjuku restaurant (address below) has a great night-time view out over the lights of Shinjuku. There’s numerous other outlets throughout the city too so check the website for a restaurant near you.
